Unfortunately, due to increasingly sedentary lifestyles and poor diet, Australian kids are becoming more overweight or obese; one NSW 2010 study assessing kids from years K to 10 indicated the number of NSW children who were overweight or obese had risen from around one in 10 in 1985 to almost one in four in 2004.
