City2Surf 2013 Training Program!

It’s that exciting time of year again, Bondi’s moment in the sunshine, the race that stops a nation… drum roll please… hellloooo City2Surf 2013! Yep we are indeed only a few months out from Sydney’s most iconic fun run and this year your trainers have decided to go above and beyond. We’ve created a program that will help beginners, intermediate and advanced runners alike set their sights higher than ever.

We’ll make sure you’re the very fittest you can be by the time you step up to that start line on August 11th – this year, we’re training you like the athletes we know you can be, inviting you to come on a journey that will help you become a leaner, faster, stronger runner than ever before… or at least get you to a point where you can really enjoy the 14km stretch of colourful costumes, blaring music, celebrity runners and heartbreaking hills, rather than struggle through it!

This year you will have the option to sign up for either one, two, or three targeted training sessions per week as part of your registration for the combined AGOGA and Bottoms Up! City2Surf team.

Led by our elite running specialists – the two Veronicas – you will be guided through a range of sessions to ensure your technique is on point, your running is efficient, and you’re pushed that little bit further, so come August 11th you will literally FLY through the 14km course.

The AGOGA ‘n’ BUF City2Surf program for 2013 will officially kick off on Monday 17th June, giving you 8 weeks to get prepped and ready to tackle the famous course (and not to mention absolutely smash that heartbreak hill we all know and dread!).

This program is a great way to ensure you stay on top of your fitness throughout the winter months – stay motivated on the chilliest June/July days with a whole crew of awesome athletes jogging by your side!

Join up with a buddy and hold yourselves accountable to make 2013 the year you conquer the course.

There are a few different ways you and your buddies can get involved.

Here are the options:

 

The Bronze Runner

Your FREE option (members only)

  • Access to City2Surf Saturdays – our 8:30am outdoor session at Centennial Park, held each Saturday in the lead-up to the event (this is in place of our usual Cardio Group, which will be closed to other clients for the duration of this program)
  • An 8-week, take home run program, with self-driven training sessions to help get you across the line.
  • 2 x 5km time trial sessions (held during Saturday’s group) to keep you on track and help you chart your progress over the 8 weeks.

 

 

 

The Silver Runner

One payment of $149 ($175 for non-members)

Everything in the Bronze Runner package, plus…

  • Tuesday morning training sessions (6am) leaving from Bondi – each week you can choose between doing a longer run session with Vee Wallington, or a shorter/faster interval session with Vee Larisova.
  • An initial running technique session to assess style and form, using video analysis. This session aims to correct form and prevent injury.
  • Partial-course practice runs guided by our running coaches – tackle the toughest parts of the C2S course well before the big day, so you’re prepared!
  • Weekly emails guiding you through all things running/City2Surf, including info on preparation, training ideas and recaps, course details, injury prevention, nutrition and much more.
  • An invitation to join our private Facebook Group to keep updated on all things C2S – we’ll be sharing the latest articles, training techniques and nutrition info here.

 

 

 

The Gold Runner

One payment of $349 ($410 for non-members)

Everything in the Bronze & Silver Runner packages, plus…

  • Once a week, you’ll attend a private, indoor training session at AGOGA, run by both trainers. This training session will guarantee you plenty of personal attention and will be focused specifically on strength and interval training for runners, technique adjustment, mobility exercises and run-specific stretching to make sure you avoid injury throughout your preparation.

    is the Tuesday morning interval session still available during this period for normal members not on the silver of gold package??
