Based in Sydney’s beautiful Bondi, AGOGA has been the Eastern Suburbs’ health, fitness and energy hub since 2012.

With a huge range of Small Group Training classes and one-to-one Personal Coaching on offer, we have a variety of workouts to suit you and your goals. Whether you want to run faster, gain strength, lose weight, increase mobility or just have adrenaline-pumping fun, our friendly team of highly experienced coaches will help you get there.

Each workout is based on the training methods of athletes, coaches and scientific strategies from around the world. Expect to do workouts from the diaries of people like Ellyse Perry, Tom Brady, Serena Williams or Buddy Franklin, just to name a few.

Our core principles of functional movement patterns and interval training are designed to create athletic and symmetrical bodies that are strong, lean and mobile. We are here to provide support and education to help you grow stronger both physically and mentally.

We have a ‘no ego’ policy and a supportive, nurturing environment that brings out the absolute best in our diverse community of members.

Owner and Head Coach

JOHN FIELD

AGOGA’s owner and Head Coach John. A former professional beach volleyballer, junior tennis coach, and aerobics competitor (back in the ‘90s), he has also run his own martial  arts dojo on the Gold Coast’s Main Beach.

Nowadays, John’s passion is for functional fitness and long-distance running. Competitions, fun-runs, half and full marathons – he loves it all, and is dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness and running goals. From assisting everyday athletes to move better, to developing sporting movement patterns and improving client mindset, John is a powerhouse of group and personal coaching having helped 100’s of clients achieve their goals over the past 12 years. 

John’s qualifications include Certificates III and IV in Fitness; Certified TRX and Strongfirst Kettlebell Instructor; Level 2 FMT Trainer; Level 2 Punchfit Boxing instructor; ASCA Strength and Conditioning Coach Level 1; and Senior First Aid.

 

EMILY ROGERS

EMILY ROGERS

Emily is known as AGOGA’s Hybrid Trainer because she’s got it all! Her early career as a professional dancer evolved when she moved to Australia and immersed herself in the study of fitness and yoga.

From her graceful movement and dynamic speed to her incredible strength and mobility, Emily is a veteran Bondi trainer who’s constantly exploring how to train the body to move more efficiently and enhance overall wellbeing.

With over 6 years of experience in the industry, Emily’s qualifications include Certificates III and IV in Fitness; Diploma of Fitness; Diploma of Remedial Massage; 200hrs Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher training; 150hrs continuous advanced training; Barre and Pilates instructor; and Advanced First Aid.

 

CASSEY MAYNARD

CASSEY MAYNARD

Cass is all about dialling up the energy, hence why she is called The Energiser, lifting vibes for happier lives!

Born in Newcastle and raised in Queensland, she now calls Bondi home. After an early career in the corporate world, Cass’s body told her that it just wanted to move more – all day, every day in fact – so over eight years ago she swapped her heels for her pumps and qualified as a fitness professional and has never looked back. Cass loves nothing more than seeing clients walk out of her classes buzzing with happy vibes and ready to take on the world. She herself loves a hard + fast HIIT session.

Cass’s qualifications include Certificates III and IV in Fitness; 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with PowerLiving and Functional Training Foundations.

 

HAYLEY SMITH

HAYLEY SMITH

AGOGA’s Pocket Rocket, Hayley hails from the UK but has happily called Sydney home for several years.

With an unapologetic focus on good technique over speed, she loves helping members improve their form and progress through classes. Showing that good things come in small packages, Hayley enjoys lifting heavy and moving to a high intensity. With a highly competitive nature, she’s always on the lookout for her next challenge, whether it be beating her time at City2Surf, competing in Crossfit-style games or trying out new styles of training with friends. Full of energy, she’ll challenge you to perform at your very best, both in group classes and personal coaching sessions.

Hayley’s qualifications include Certificates III and IV in Fitness; Barbells Level 2; Safe Return to exercise pre and post natal, and AMN Neuro Flexibility.
